Chinmaya Guruvayur

On July 2020, Chinmaya Mission Kansas City acquired a 15 acre property to build an Ashram where Vedanta-Based programs for children, youth and adults will be offered to enable Spiritual Growth and Personal Development. This property is centrally located in Southern Johnson County. Address of  the land is 15334 S Pflumm R, Olathe, KS 66062

Pujya Swami Swaroopananda visited Kansas City in August 2019 for a 3-day spiritual lecture series and during this time, he visited this newly acquired property. On July 4, 2021, Swamiji gave the name “Chinmaya Guruvayur”.

This Ashram’s goal is to fully serve our community and promote spiritual growth so that we can offer more services to our mission members, such as increased study groups, summer camps for children, family camps, and numerous visiting Acharya lecture series. Furthermore this Ashram will strengthen our sense of community as followers of Sanatana Dharma and will allow us to fulfill our obligation to preserve and pass on Vedic knowledge and culture to the next generation

Activities at our ashram

Our new ashram will be home to satsangs and multiple activities for our community including:

• Bala Vihar, Shishu Vihar for children with flexibility for multiple sessions
• Jnana Yagnas
• Study Groups
• Festival celebrations
• Sessions to learn Bhagavad Gita, Stothrams, Yoga, Meditation, etc.
